
Working in the pharmaceutical industry – trained with virtual reality
The shortage of skilled workers poses major challenges for the pharmaceutical industry. Compounding this is the fact that manufacturing innovations such as gene therapies have little in common with traditional drug production. In response, the United Kingdom (UK) launched the “RESILIENCE” project in April 2024. It offers training programmes that enable, for example, early-career professionals and students to learn medicines manufacturing in a virtual reality environment.
